I find it very interesting that most people like to blame those on the top for all the problems we are facing collectively but they don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions. Those on the top can only exist and have their power because we give it to them. For example, many people complain about Amazon and Jeff Bezos, how badly they treat their workers. How they kill small businesses, how they destroy jobs through automation. But at the same time most of those people support Amazon by buying their products. So this is the kind of thing I’m talking about. We vote for the politicians. We vote with our dollars when we support unethical corporations. We vote with our obedience and ignorance when we don’t question things and just obey authority. Everyone has a choice, we can spend our free time on consuming entertainment and feeding our ignorance or doing research and trying to understand how things work. Most people choose the former.
