French artist Jean-Marc Cote and others were asked what they thought the year 2000 would look like. So, these imaginative geniuses from way back in the years between 1899 and 1910 took up their paintbrushes and let their imagination flow.

Each of the artworks illustrates what their creators thought the year 2000 would like. Obviously, they took what they saw around them and expanded on those. And this is what adds to the creative quality of these illustrations.

It’s not like they drew absolutely whacky stuff! Some of these images are actually quite similar to how we experience life in this new century. And to think someone imagined all these a hundred years back! 

Be it robotic pieces of equipment, farming machines, or even flying machines, we have them all, don’t we?
