Bill Gates’ Awkward Response On Being Questioned About Jeffrey Epstein

Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world, appeared to be flustered and searching for his answers when pressed for a comment on his connection with Jeffrey Epstein. The interview was on PBS and was being conducted by Judy Woodruff. Epstein is famous for his fall from grace after he was convicted of being a pedophile sex offender.
In 2019, August, Epstein had killed himself in prison. He would have soon gone on trial for being involved in the sex trafficking of minors. Nevertheless, Epstein knew and conversed with several big-name personalities from all spheres of life. Bill Gates is one such name.
Bill Gates Fumbled In His Reply
In the interview on PBS Newshour, Gates was asked about Epstein. Gates was supposedly a long-time friend of Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly even after the allegations about Epstein’s misconduct surfaced. Take a look at the interview below:
Woodruff told him that reportedly, Gates and Epstein had met several times a decade ago. At the time, Epstein was already convicted of being an underage prostitution solicitor. Woodruff asked Gates what he knew about Epstein when he was meeting him. Gates had claimed that the meetings were done because he wanted to raise money for his foundation.
Gates immediately started stammering. He also started nervously fiddling with a wedding ring that he isn’t wearing anymore. (Melinda Gates and Bill divorced in August)
Bill Gates anxiously muttered that he regrets having dinner with Epstein. However, Epstein had claimed to be connected with people who were willing to help global health, which is one of Gates’ interests.

However, he came back to the point once more and said that the meetings were wrong. They did not produce the results Epstein claimed, and Gates claimed to have shut them down. Gates also added that all this was a long time in the past and that there is nothing new to add.
Is Bill Gates Hiding Something?
Woodruff, though, told him about his several meetings with Epstein even after their first time in 2013. In May, Melinda Gates was reportedly furious over Gates’ and Epstein’s friendship and had told him to end this association. Woodruff then asked him about his reaction when he got to know Epstein’s background. Gates repeated that he regretted the dinners and that nothing new happened since then. Woodruff poked him once more and asked if there is something to be learned from this.
The philanthropist curiously said that Epstein is dead so generally one has to always be careful. Immediately after that, he seemingly turned the conversation towards something else. He stuttered, threw up his hands, and said that he was proud of the achieved philanthropy and the foundation’s work. So that’s his focus in life every day.

It has also been alleged that Gates used to associate with Epstein because he believed that would get him a Nobel peace prize. As such, an anonymous insider had claimed that Gates ignored Epstein’s questionable background. The insider claimed that Gates desired the Nobel Peace Prize the most in his life.
Bill Gates’ response was not only awkward but questionable. However, we will possibly never know what made the billionaire philanthropist be friends with a convicted pedophile. For now, all we can do is speculate.
