The partnership between Just Pizza and Wings Co. and the Niagara Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) brings to the customers an adorably unique opportunity. They give all the customers flyers of cute shelter dogs ready for adoption.

This brilliant concept of using pizza boxes to advertise for shelter dogs looking for forever homes was a natural solution. The family pizzeria, run by Mary Alloy in the upstate town of Amherst, and the Niagara Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals collaborated when the owner Mary and her three kids started volunteering at SPCA.

And Just Pizza even made sure to show their gratefulness towards the kind people who come forward for the adoption. During adoption procedure for the shelter dogs, the new parents simply need to procure the flyer that brought them to the shelter homes and they would be given an exclusive $50 coupon to be reimbursed at Just Pizza.

Kimberly LaRussa, even coordinator at SPCA, disclosed how this happened. According to her pizza boxes could have anything on top of them. So she went up to Mary and asked her if they could advertise for adoption on top of the pizza boxes. Mary immediately said yes, no hesitation whatsoever.

LaRussa further said that this initiative has helped the shelter dogs a lot. An increasing number of people are going off to get their pizzas with flyers. Families are flooding into the shelter homes. Support has come forth not only from their community but from beyond as well. Even other pizzerias offered to put up the shelter dogs on their flyers.

After the announcement on Friday, the results started showing in a day. A six-month-old shelter dog Larry found a forever home the very next day. According to Just Pizza and Wings Co.’s owner Mary Alloy, even their business had picked up. The sales had doubled. However, Mary said that she found being a part of this cause is a reward in itself.

Mary said that she is always looking forward to coming forth and helping such organizations. If it is about the betterment of the community, then you can always count on her to be a part of it. She has even kept several donation boxes around the pizzeria. And she believes if there is still any more way to contribute, then she would do it.

We need more people like her to come forward so that the world could be a better place for all.
