Robert Irwin recently shared a photo on Instagram which recreated a shot that his father Steve Irwin took in the early 2000s, and the resemblance between the two shocked many of Robert’s followers.
Robert is just 16 years old, but he already looks a lot like his late father, and it helps that he also wears the same khaki uniform all the time as well.
We all have a soft spot for koalas. Steve and Terri opened the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital in 2004 to treat sick,…
Robert shared a similar photo a few months ago, back in July of 2019. On that occasion, Robert shared a photo of him feeding a crocodile, beside a photo of his father feeding the same crocodile, named Murray. In the caption below the two photos, Robert said that they were taken 15 years apart.
Steve Irwin’s two children and wife still take care of animals through the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, which they own and operate.
Bindi Irwin, Steve’s daughter, posted a photo to Instagram a few months back, announcing that her family has taken in over 90,000 patients to their animal hospital since it opened. The hospital also took in a large number of patients during the recent bushfires that spread across Australia, and the Irwin family was heavily involved in the rescue efforts.

With so many devastating fires within Australia, my heart breaks for the people and wildlife who have lost so much. I wanted to let you know that we are SAFE. There are no fires near us @AustraliaZoo or our conservation properties. Our Wildlife Hospital is busier than ever though, having officially treated over 90,000 patients. My parents dedicated our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to my beautiful grandmother. We will continue to honour her by being Wildlife Warriors and saving as many lives as we can. 💙🙏🏼
Robert hosts Robert’s Real Life Adventures, a program on his family’s zoo’s internal TV network. He also co-hosted the Discovery Kids Channel TV series Wild But True and co-created the book series Robert Irwin: Dinosaur Hunter, and currently stars on the Animal Planet series Crikey! It’s the Irwins with his mother, Terri, and sister, Bindi.
On 6 April 2017, Robert Irwin was named as a member and ambassador of Scouts Australia, which formalized a partnership between the organization and Australia Zoo to promote wildlife conservation to young people.
It appears that the entire Irwin family is carrying on the legacy of Steve Irwin after his passing.
