Can you imagine, that in the future, human beings managed to travel across space to other planets and then find even more humans?
This might sound unbelievable to some however, one astrobiologist from the University of Cambridge stated that this scenario might be more realistic than what you thought.

BBC’s Science Focus magazine conducted an interview with Simon Conway Morris who stated with “reasonable confidence” that this evolution of humans might have occurred similarly in other worlds across the universe. Simon is an evolutionary paleobiologist at the institution’s Department of Earth Sciences.
Simon’s belief was derived from convergent evolution, which claims that random and insignificant events usually average out, which converges the evolution process and tends to produce similar organisms in a certain environment.
The theory basically stated that the evolution of mankind was a law of nature and it was highly likely that it would happen, similarly, in other worlds. So, theoretically, you might see the blue and green humanoids from Star Trek, if you looked deep enough.
Humans And Aliens Might Have Evolved In The Same Manner
Simon Morris is not the only man from the University of Cambridge who believes that alien life would have evolved similarly to that of humans.
Arik Kershenbaum wrote an entire book about this concept of the evolution of aliens. Arik is a zoologist at the British institution.
Arik explained that evolution was the “explanatory mechanism” for the life present everywhere in the Universe. He told Quanta magazine that the principles of evolution that were uncovered on planet Earth would be similar on other planets in the Universe.
He added that the aliens would not have similar interests and cultures as us, however, they did not spring out of “nothing”, as technologically advanced beings. Even aliens, with supposedly greater technological knowledge than humans, would have come from a “pre-technological species”.
He added that if these “pre-technological species” developed all the things that humans see now, there is a huge chance that these marvels would have been constructed on building blocks that served the society there. It would have been related to things that promoted the transmission of information and ideas among the members of the group and building a better bond between the group members. These aliens could have been telling stories and singing, just like early humans, as it served the same purpose.
It is quite absurd yet interesting to imagine humanoid forms on other planets and in Kershenbaum’s words, to be “singing and dancing and telling stories”, just like our ancestors did.
If Darwin’s laws of evolution were accurate, which were also followed by Morris and Kershenbaum, then the chances of us communicating and relating to these alien lifeforms would increase, a thousand-fold, but it would also increase the probability of warring with them.
