Is Oprah A “Good” Witch? A Spiritual and Activists Perspective On Oprah For President

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

Oprah has hit the headlines in just about every newspaper and news station across the globe after her speech at the golden globe awards. The powerful speech has sparked rumors that she may be fit to run for presidency in 2020, but is there more to this story?

The rumors are not new and started when she retweeted a New York Post  article calling her “Democrats’ best hope for 2020” and stating that Trump winning has made her feel more qualified to run for presidency. However, she quickly told the media that it was a joke and she would not actually be running.

Oprah has not actually announced any plans to run for presidency, however, the power of her speech has sparked media rumors that she may be the woman for the job. The speech called for the downfall of the oppressive male, the revelation of truth and the rise of the divine feminine. Saying “speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have. And I’m especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories.”

Continuing “So I want all the girls watching here, now, to know that a new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say “Me too” again.”

Before I go any further I just wanted to share that this article is in part my opinion, but also just an idea being expressed that you should make up your own mind on. I share it from the way I understand the world and don’t claim absolute truth, but only a perspective which varies greatly from what many media organisations believe to be reality.

Prior to the speech, some of the immediate responses from the activist community are that of Oprah’s relationship with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein who recently had over 80 allegations of sexual abuse made against him and her endorsement of Hillary Clinton for presidency.
