Customers Refused To Tip This Waitress Because Of Her LGBTQ Tattoo

Now more than ever before, it is essential humans cultivate compassion for others — or, at the very least, others’ beliefs. Sadly, progress remains slow among some who believe same-sex marriage is an abomination against the church. A 20-year-old waitress named Samantha Heaton recently learned this first-hand.
While waiting tables at Buffalo Wild Wings, Heaton waited on a family seated in her section. Though the topics of sexuality or religion never arose during the time the couple and their kids dined at the establishment, they later refused to tip her simply because she has a tattoo that symbolizes gender equality. On the receipt, the pair wrote: “We can’t tip someone who doesn’t love Jesus! Bad tatoo!”
During an interview with the Inquisitr, Heaton said that if discussion on homosexuality or Christianity arose, they would have discovered that she is not only openly gay but a believer in Christ, as well. She added that her sexuality and choice of faith doesn’t pertain to her skills as a waitress, and that individuals should consider this when visiting an establishment in a country where gay marriage is legal.

Reportedly, what upset Heaton most was the fact that the parents put that kind of intolerance on full display in front of their young children.”The kids are going to be under the impression that it will be OK to discriminate,” she said.
Twitter users were quick to point out that it was hypocritical of the couple to judge the woman, especially since their faith asks them to keep an open heart and mind toward others:
