28+ Humorous Comics Reveal What It’s Like To Be A Woman

To meet society’s difficult-to-attain (if not downright impossible) standards of beauty, many women and men spend thousands of dollars on expensive surgeries and treatments. Then, on social media, they highlight only the best parts of their lives in an attempt to appear “perfect.”
An artist who goes by the name Planet Prudence on Instagram does the exact opposite. In fact, the way she illustrates her life is incredibly refreshing. Rather than pretend to be something she’s not, the activist uses what some might consider to be her “imperfections” as fodder for humorous content.
She writes, “The following illustrations summarize my whole life as a woman, living in a world full of things I’ll presumably never understand. I’m always relieved to learn that I’m not the only awkward human being on Earth. Let’s laugh at our everyday struggles and be awkward together! Don’t forget to comment about your own experiences as a woman!”
The comics have been well-received — especially on Instagram, where Planet Prudence has gathered over 338,000 followers. May we all be reminded that there is no such thing as “perfection,” and that truly living is embracing one’s flaws and having fun.
