Fearless Dog Who Saved 52 People Is Rescuing Victims Of Mexico Earthquake

Last Tuesday, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocked central Mexico. At least 230 people were killed and thousands were injured. The terrifying incident took place just two weeks after another, more powerful earthquake shook up Oaxaca.

This latest natural disaster left the area in ruins and many people trapped under the rubble. Fortunately, thousands of emergency services, military members and civilians are helping rescue trapped victims. Among them is a six-year-old Mexican Navy (SEMAR) rescue dog who has saved 52 people in her career.

Frida the Labrador has been tirelessly searching for survivors. As can be seen in the photos below, she is equipped with her own personal protective equipment which includes customized boots and goggles. The boots protect her paws from abrasive materials and the goggles shield her eyes from debris.

Despite the double tragedy Mexico has experienced, activists like Frida are nearby and willing to help out.
