Online Claims That Buzz Aldrin And 3 Other Astronauts Pass Lie Detector Saying They Saw UFOs Is False

CORRECTION: This article previously stated that Buzz Aldrin And 3 Other Astronauts Pass Lie Detector Saying They Saw UFOs. These claims were based on “Exclusive Story From Daily Start” that originated here. It has since come to our attention that this is not accurate and that there is no proof for the claims made. The study from the Institute of BioAcoustic Biology in Albany can not be found to back up these claims. Furthermore, the spokesperson for Aldrin said the retired astronaut never took any type of “lie-detector” test, according to PunditFact

Daily Star claimed that “The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology in Albany have analyzed audio using state of the art technology. The results show that all 4 astronauts are telling the truth about their encounters.” On further inspection, it appears there is no evidence to back up these claims.

On the same flight as Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin was the second person to set foot on the Moon. The Daily Star article also claimed that during his space travels he said he encountered alien life, but there is no evidence outside of this article to corroborate the story.

They continued: Aldrin, Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper are the 4 astronauts that took part in the study from The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology in Albany, Ohio.

Claiming the team carried out an analysis of the astronauts vocal patterns using advanced computers and determined that there was no signs of deception and the 4 astronauts believed themselves to be telling the truth.

The article said the new tech is still top-secret, but say it is more reliable than current lie detector tests, and likely to replace the current methods used by the FBI and police.

Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin was quoted by the Star saying he saw something alien on the trip to the moon saying: “There was something out there that was close enough to be observed, sort of L-shaped.”

As pointed out by PunditFact, this is likely a misquote from a Reddit Ask Me Anything Session Aldrin took part in, in which he said:

“On Apollo 11 (en) route to the Moon, I observed a light out the window that appeared to be moving alongside us. There were many explanations of what that could be, other than another spacecraft from another country or another world — it was either the rocket we had separated from or the 4 panels that moved away when we extracted the lander from the rocket and we were nose to nose with the two spacecraft. So in the close vicinity, moving away, were 4 panels. And i feel absolutely convinced that we were looking at the sun reflected off of one of these panels. Which one? I don’t know. So technically, the definition could be ‘unidentified.’

“We well understood exactly what that was. And when we returned, we debriefed and explained exactly what we had observed. And I felt that this had been distributed to the outside world, the outside audience, and apparently it wasn’t, and so many years later, I had the time in an interview to disclose these observations, on another country’s television network. And the UFO people in the United States were very very angry with me, that I had not given them the information. It was not an alien. Extraordinary observations require extraordinary evidence. That’s what Carl Sagan said. There may be aliens in our Milky Way galaxy, and there are billions of other galaxies. The probability is almost CERTAIN that there is life somewhere in space. It was not that remarkable, that special, that unusual, that life here on earth evolved gradually, slowly, to where we are today.

“But the distances involved in where some evidence of life may be, they may be hundreds of light years away.”

Al Worden shared in an interview with Good Morning Britain, that he had seen extraterrestrial life and we are actually aliens which decided to inhabit the earth. “If you don’t believe me, go and get books on the ancient Sumerians and see what they had to say about it” says Worden.

Edgar Mitchell has gone on record saying aliens prevented nuclear war on Earth to ensure our survival. In Early 2015, Edgar Mitchell also told the Mirror Online that during the nuclear tests at White Sands, several witnesses believed they had seen alien spacecraft hovering above the mushroom clouds that emerged as the result of the detonation of atomic bombs.

Gordon Cooper spoke of chasing a cluster of alien objects.

The Daily Star article claimed the tests revealed that all 4 astronauts believed they saw aliens, however these claims appear to be false.
