In the US there have been more than 561,000 confirmed cases of the new disease. New York, which reported the worst hit, is already counting over 188,000. In such a situation, every other organization across the country is trying to extend their helping hand to the pandemic fighters in their own unique way. Beyond Meat has also found a way to help the first responders by donating vegan burgers, and Snoop Dogg is supporting them in their mission.

The rapper said in a post on Instagram that in these challenging days, Beyond Meat has pledged to donate one million burgers to those in need, and he feels proud for taking part in this mission. He has already made sure that burgers reached the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital located in Southern Los Angeles.

They are mainly focusing to supply the hospitals, food banks, and other communities of first responders.

The company assured that their staff, friends, and ambassadors are helping them to reach their goal of donating burgers: as many as one million. They have always believed that their food can be a vital medium to bring change, and now they are happy to act on their words.

Along with them, various delivery services are also rising to the situation. The food delivery company DoorDash, which is mainly based in San Francisco, is working hand-in-hand with Beyond Meat to deliver their burgers free of cost. The partnership is widely serving both the cities of New York and California.

Grammy award-winning singer Billie Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird is also doing her bit. She too is a part of the Support Via Vegan Food mission. In California, where the number of confirmed cases has crossed 21,000, Baird is trying to help out the key workers. She has started the initiative called Support and Feed jointly with vegan restaurants like Eat Drink Vegan.

Several restaurants across the country are providing the option for their customers to donate food in the name of the Support and Feed campaign. Once the donated food has been gathered, the eco-motivated waste diversion service, Conscious Cleanup is helping them to send food to the respective hospitals and organizations.

Beyond Meat and others have no plans of stopping their helping efforts any time soon.
