Gas Station Attendant Saves Girl From Kidnappers By Locking Her in the Bathroom

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

Quick-thinking Savannah Pritchett is being hailed as a hero after she locked a young woman in the store’s bathroom. Her plan led to the arrest of four kidnappers.

It all began when Pritchett, who works as a cashier at a gas station in Waterford, California, was approached by a woman with a haunted look on her face. Pritchett was stunned as the woman grabbed her wrist and asked for help. She said she had been kidnapped by four men, two of whom had guns.

As GoodNewsNetwork reports, Pritchett quickly locked the front door, then led the woman to the store’s bathroom. She handed her the cell phone and ordered her to call the police. After locking the woman in the bathroom, she walked back to the front of the store. There, she saw the kidnappers trying to open the door.

With a stellar poker face, Pritchett unlocked the door. She told the kidnappers that the woman was in the bathroom and pretended as if everything was normal. Pritchett told KFSN: “I knew that if I left the door locked, they would have caught on to something and probably took off. So I went back up there, and I unlocked the door. They seriously had no idea that I knew anything.”

Within minutes, law enforcement officials burst into the store. Immediately, the apprehended two fo the kidnappers. Later, the other two juveniles were arrested in connection to the kidnapping. Authorities believe the four juveniles have ties to gang activity and other recent crimes in the area.

Pritchett is denying that she did anything special. She told the press that she is simply happy to have helped a stranger in need. She told ABC News: “I’m very thankful that I got to help that girl and I am very thankful that she’s home safe with her family and now I’m happy that they got those guys off the street.”
