5 Tasty Vegan Recipes You Need To Try This Christmas
By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory
With just a handful of days left before Christmas, nearly everyone is preparing to make delectable dishes for visiting friends and family members. Rather than re-make traditional recipes, however, how about you try something new this year?
Following are 5 of our favorite Christmas recipes that just happen to be vegan. They are made with no animal products (meat, eggs, and dairy), which means they are better for the environment, animal welfare, and your health.
1) Classic Eggnog — with a Twist!
We highly recommend this classic eggnog, made with peppermint, by Oh She Glows. Made with only real, whole food ingredients, it is easy to prepare and is better for your waistline.
Banana is high in potassium and fiber, and can help you feel calm. Avocado is rich in healthy fats and vitamin E, so it will benefit your hair, skin and nails. And spices like cinnamon and cloves are good for digestion.

2) Paleo Dinner Rolls [Vegan, GF]
This gluten-free, paleo, vegan dinner roll recipe seems too good to be true. However, the simple ingredients form a suitable bread alternative health conscious eaters may love.

3) Cranberry-Rosemary Cashew Cheese Log [Vegan]
This lovely cheese log by Pure Ella has Christmas written all over it. You can serve it as an appetizer to guests with pre-dinner drinks! Get the recipe here.
4) Creamy Vegan Garlic Pasta with Roasted Tomatoes
This entree is perfect for the holidays.
5) Perfect Vegan Gingerbread Cookies
Christmas is not complete without gingerbread men. Don’t despair, they’re even better when made without animal products!
