4 Ways You Can Take More Action Today
Do you fantasise about ‘the day’ you will finally actualise your dreams? Do you intend to write a novel or release a song but just can’t seem to take action? We are all guilty of this. We like to plan and talk about our goals, but we don’t always make it further than our intentions. If you want to follow through with a dream, you will need to be present, enthusiastic, hold yourself accountable and be ready for a challenge. Check out these four tips that will help you take more action in your life today.
Be Present
If you want to take more action, you will need to be present. Take a minute to focus on your breathing so that you can reconnect with the present moment. Think about what you need to get done today. Don’t overthink, just do. When you are present, you will face less emotional resistance. This will help you to relax, as well as find your flow. When you are in a flow state, you are able to get things done without much effort.
Be Accountable To Yourself
Set your own standards and principles and hold yourself accountable to them. Be consistent. It might seem easier to flake on yourself, but try not to let social pressures get in the way of the actions you need to take. If you are able to rely on yourself, you will not have to worry about external circumstances which can fluctuate and throw you out of whack.
Be Ready For The Challenge
If you want to take more action, you need to be ready for a challenge. You need to be resilient and have the determination to succeed, despite the obstacles that may lie in wait for you. If you are honest about the steps you need to take and the amount of time and effort you will need to put in, you will be able to take consistent action to achieve your goal.
Be Enthusiastic
Enthusiasm is a great way to get going and take action. If you are feeling motivated and enthusiastic, tasks will be more enjoyable. Enthusiasm flows naturally when you are doing things you really like to do. However, sometimes, we need to delve deeper into the task we are doing before we get that spark. Try and push yourself to do more and learn more. Remember. You can always create enthusiasm within yourself.
