Cards Against Humanity Buys Portion of Border Wall to Halt Trump
By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory
The makers of the popular game Cards Against Humanity are no fans of Trump. This was confirmed — once again — when the company announced on its website and Twitter page that it has purchased a piece of land on the U.S.-Mexico border. The reason? To stop US President Donald Trump from building his proposed wall. According to KDVR, the company has already consulted with a law firm which specializes in eminent domain.

The company wrote on its website: “Donald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans. He is so afraid that he wants to build a twenty-billion dollar wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing. So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built.”
To raise funds for the plot of land, the company is offering to send customers “six surprises” for just $15. One of the gifts is a map of the land Cards Against Humanity helped purchase as part of its 2017 holiday promotion, dubbed “Cards Against Humanity Saves America.”
The minds behind the humorous game are known for their sarcastic, snarky and oftentimes harsh quips. This acknowledged, the answers on the FAQ page are not at all surprising. In response to “What are the six surprises,” for instance, the company answers: “The nature of a surprise is that it surprises you when it occurs.” In response to the question, “What are you saving America from,” they replied: “Injustice, lies, racism, the whole enchilada.” No shocker
A pre-emptive response to “I don’t like that you’re getting political, why don’t you just stick to card games?” Is: “Why don’t you stick to seeing how many Hot Wheels cars you can fit up your asshole?” You get the picture.
While not everyone will agree with the company’s stance, it is good news for those who are frustrated by the present state of politics. Cards Against Humanity is making it possible for people to take action and for some, that’s the greatest gift there is.
