Samadhi is thought of as a state of being which cannot be defined within the confines of human language. It is a state of intense concentration which one can arrive at due to a dedicated meditation practice. In yoga Samadhi is thought of as the final stage, when you reach total union with your higher self. It is also thought to be to state prior to birth and at death.
Samadhi, with the subtitle “Maya, the Illusion of the Self” is about the false self we create and the illusory nature of the avatar which is created starting from the moment we are named. A powerful quote from the movie is “Once a child is told what a bird is, if they believe what they are told, then they never see a bird again.”.
