Company Creates Edible 6 Pack Ring In A Bid To Protect Marine Life & It Is Working.
The product which has been named “edible six-pack rings,” was created to eliminate the non biodegradable plastic six-pack rings which would save the lives of countless turtles, fish and birds every year and also cut down on the planet’s pollution.
The product is made from wheat and barley which is left over from the production of beer from Saltwater Brewery. This means that once they end up in the oceans they will either decompose or be eaten.
One of the product creators Marco Vega said “We’ve already started to get orders from craft breweries. They want to know how quickly we can ramp up to bring this product to market,” he added that “The response has been phenomenal.”
