American police brutality seems to have become an epidemic, reasonable force is not being used and most officers who put themselves above the law are not being held accountable.
Now thanks to a database called The Counted which has been put together by the Guardian newspaper, we can now actually monitor fatal police shootings in the US and compare them to the way police behave across the world.
In England and Wales, with a 56.9 million population over the last 24 years there have been 55 shootings at the hands of the police. Compared to 59 shootings with a 316.1 million population in just the first 24 days of 2015 in the States.
Iceland with a population of 323,764 have had 1 fatal police shooting in the last 71 years compared to 3 police killings in Stockton California with a smaller population in just 64 days.
15 citizens of any race where shot over a 2 year period in Germany, compared to 19 unarmed black men shot in the first 5 months of 2015.
Australia have had 94 fatal shootings by the police in 9 years, while the US have had 97 in March 2015.
Canada have 25 fatal police shootings a in 2015, compared to 72 in just the state of California

In this video 19 year old Zachary Hammond was shot and killed over 10 grams of weed.
In this one Jason Harrison a man who they knew had mental health problems was shot and killed when he was not really causing much of a threat and could have easily been restrained.
