Anonymous tweets have been sent to Donald Trump which included accusations that the president-elect has links to organised crime.

Donald Trump received the threatening tweets by the hacktivist group called Anonymous, who claimed that he will “regret the next 4 years”.

This isn’t the 80’s any longer, information doesn’t vanish, it is all out there. You are going to regret the next 4 years. @realDonaldTrump

In the series of tweets that were sent on Monday, the twitter account named @YourAnonCentral publicly said directly to Donald Trump’s account, “This isn’t the 80’s any longer, information doesn’t vanish, it is all out there. You are going to regret the next 4 years”, whilst also claiming in another tweet that he has “financial and personal ties with Russian mobsters, child traffickers, and money launderers”.

Whilst referencing Trump’s friendship with Roy Cohn, a lawyer who represented him during the 1970s when he was accused of violating the Fair Housing Act, a warning tweet was sent from the Anonymous account which said, “You are implicated in some really heavy sh*t. Roy [Cohn] and your daddy aren’t here to protect you anymore”.

We could care less about Democrats attacking you @realDonaldTrump, the fact of the matter is, you are implicated in some really heavy shit.

These tweets began after Trump publicly attacked CIA Director John Brennan on Twitter, accusing him of being a “leaker of fake news”. Trump reposted a tweet from Fox news whilst adding his response at the end for all of his 20.2 million Twitter followers to see. It said, “.@FoxNews “Outgoing CIA Chief, John Brennan, blasts Pres-Elect Trump on Russia threat. Does not fully understand.” Oh really, couldn’t do much worse – just look at Syria (red line), Crimea, Ukraine and the build-up of Russian nukes. Not good! Was this the leaker of Fake News?”

Despite the verbal warnings from Anonymous, the group declined their own follower requests to “Step up”, “Go get him” and “Save us please”, by prompting their Twitter followers to “do their duty” and stand up against Trump themselves. They tweeted, “No, you go get him. It’s your duty as adults. We gave you the resources, use them”.

The hacktivist group also mentioned in one tweet that they suspect Trump of trying to attack them with “bots”, which have the ability to generate automated responses to the tweets. The group responded by telling him to “please tell your interns not to waste money hitting us with your Moldavian bot farm, stay frosty”.

Oh and please tell your interns not to waste money hitting us with your Moldavian bot farm, stay frosty @realDonaldTrump.

This is not the first time that the Anonymous group has attacked the president elect. It previously occurred before he became the Republican party’s nominee, and was titled “operation #OpWhiteRose”, where they leaked information from his phone which included voicemails and telephone numbers.
