Chocolatier Barry Callebaut, One Among Many Big Companies To Take Such Progressive Measures

Chocolatier Barry Callebaut has joined a list of giants in the food industry who have decided to go against the grain and stop using animals. Most of the giants have also banned such inhumane tests on animals after intense meetings with PETA. The major companies include Barilla, General Mills, The Coca-Cola Company, Kikkoman, House Foods, Lipton, PepsiCo, Welch’s, etc.

What Do These Animals Endure?

Before Chocolatier Barry Callebaut decided to officially close all facilities smeared in animal cruelty, PETA published a series of reports from 2007 to 2019. The reports included several tests the company had conducted on animals. PETA has always been fighting the battle against using animals for testing. In the testing process, animals are prodded, cut open, tortured, and ultimately killed. All in the belief that the products they are manufacturing would hold up to the global standard of excellence.

It is quite important that Barry Callebaut has taken a progressive decision. It is a noble cause, and one worth fighting for as voiceless animals will be spared a cruel fate. They also play a huge role in motivating other companies to follow suit.

How Can You Play Your Part?

Throughout the world, animals suffer heavily in such food industries. Most of it, because companies are too orthodox in their ways, and refuse to change.

Since the 1950s, the Japanese enhancer company Ajinomoto has been asked by PETA to stop their experiments on animals. PETA has cajoled the company to stop, but unlike Chocolatier Barry Callebaut, they have refused to give up their old ways. You can join PETA and start making a difference.

PETA is using everything at its disposal to stop the cruel treatment of animals throughout the land., and they need your support.
