11 Colorized Images Show The Heartbreaking Reality Of Living In The Holocaust
The Holocaust was the genocide that took place during World War II, under the order of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. This took place between 1941 and 1945 and it is estimated that some six million European Jews were killed. This is thought to account for around two-thirds of the European Jewish population of the time.
Joachim West is a Spanish-Jewish artist who has converted 11 images from black and white to color. West stated on a post on Bored Panda that “colorized images of the Holocaust could help us to relate to the precious lives of the people that we had lost.”
