Shocking Infographic Reveals The Recent Effect Global Warming Has Had On Our Planets Temperature

While there is debate about what is causing our climate to change, one thing cannot be denied- it is changing. Many studies are showing that the planet could very well be on the brink of self-destruction when the side effects of this global warming kick in with full force.

This month a study from Stanford University warned that if we continue with our current levels of greenhouse gas emissions, by 2030 the earth’s climate will be hurled back into the state it was 3 million years ago. During this time, the temperature on earth was higher by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, with sea levels reaching around 20 meters higher than today.

Whatever is happening, behavior needs to change, pollution needs to stop and the planet needs to be treated with the respect it deserves. We are literally at a point in time when we are destroying all life and this has consequences. A recent study from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed that despite accounting for just 0.01% of all living creatures, humans have caused the loss of 83% of all wild animals and 50% of plants. It is also thought we are in the middle of the 6th Mass Extinction.

One Reddit user geeves_007 posted an interesting question about what would happen if we all united to take action against global warming?
