Travelling is one of the best forms of education. It is a great way to force personal growth, experience life through an entirely new lens and learn about things that matter. Travelling helps you to acquire knowledge and develop skills beyond the classroom. Through travelling you can learn new languages, experience new cultures and gain independence.

Here are five reasons why you should invest in experiences and travel as often as you can.

Experience Different Cultures

Through travelling, you can learn about different cultures. Specifically, different cuisines, social expectations and lifestyle choices. You will be able to gain a better understanding of the differences, as well as the commonalities between your culture and another.

Through communicating and interacting with different cultures, you can also learn new languages. Conversing in another tongue is a great way to stretch your skills and can also help you expand your cultural horizons. After learning the basics through books, videos or apps, test your knowledge and try and master the language. Communicate with native speakers and use your language skills in a real world scenario.

Travelling forces you to be proactive. It will also test your patience, will and fortitude. You will learn to improvise and deal with stressful situations (like using your boarding pass or missing your bus). Being emotionally and intellectually independent is an invaluable form of education.
