Nigerian student Segun Oyeyiola has converted his eco nightmare Volkswagen into a green fossil fuel free vehicle by adding solar panals to its roof and installing an internal wind turbine. Oyeyiola a student at Obagemi Awolowo University, has said he hopes it becomes “Nigeria’s future car.”
When he first designed it, the battery took upto 5 hours to charge, something he is working to improve. According to Oyeyiola the biggest challenge he faced, was finding good building materials, and people advising him to stop wasting his time.
