By Luke Miller Truth Theory

An Egyptian excavation team have just discovered the remains of a pyramid thought to have been built 3,700 years ago.

The discovery was made north of King Sneferu’s bent pyramid in the Dahshur royal necropolis 40km south of Cairo. Among the finds were an interior corridor and block which has been engraved with 10 lines of hieroglyphics.

The team are currently trying to determine the size of the pyramid and it is currently thought that this could be the very first time they attempted to build a smooth sided pyramid, due to the bent slope on its side.

Adel Okasha, head of Dahshur necropolis, has said the remains belong to the inner structure of the pyramid, including a corridor. Other discoveries include blocks that show the pyramids interior design.
