The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the USA have set new cannabis laws, making CBD (the non psychoactive and very safe compound) a Schedule I Controlled Substance. This places it in the same bracket as heroine.

The new legislation is titled “Establishment of a New Drug Code for Marihuana Extract,” and the DEA has said it is “creating a separate code number for marihuana extract with the following definition: ‘Meaning an extract containing one or more cannabinoids that has been derived from any plant of the genus Cannabis, other than the separated resin (whether crude or purified) obtained from the plant.’ Extracts of marihuana will continue to be treated as Schedule I controlled substances.”

This means all extracts taken from from the cannabis plant (psychoactive or not) will now be a Schedule 1 drugs, something that can land you 20 years imprisonment for a first offence. This is a total backwards step in the progression that has been made in recent times on the progression of alternative medical care and something we as the people cannot allow to happen. The video below goes into more details of this latest update.
