It has been revealed that the same officials who donated money to Hillary Clinton’s charity foundation also gave financial support to Isis.
The claim, which has been made by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, says that the wealthy officials from Qatar and Saudi Arabia have been funding the activities of Isis, and Mr Assange believes that “this notorious jihadist group is created largely with money from people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation”
A significant email was leaked by the organisation of Clinton’s campaign manager, John Pedestal, which saw Clinton asking Mr Podesta, who worked under President Obama, to help put pressure on Qatar and Saudi Arabia regarding the countries’ alleged support for the terrorist group Isis.
Clinton wrote in the email: “We need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to Isil and other radical Sunni groups in the region.”
Although a representative from the Clinton Foundation repeatedly denied the accusations that Clinton solicited funds and used donations to aid her campaign.
Mr Assange also claimed, with regards to next week’s elections, that “banks, intelligence, arms companies, foreign money, etc are all united behind Hillary Clinton. And the media as well. Media owners, and the journalists themselves.”
Since the foundation was set up in 1997, the Saudi Arabian government has donated between $10m and $25million, and last month it was also reported that the government of Qatar offered to donate $1m to Hillary’s foundation in celebration of Bill Clinton’s birthday.
